A patient-specific solution was developed to reconstruct a complex cranial defect. In collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of maxillofacial surgeons and neurosurgeons from KCUS and Dr. Merim Jusufbegović, a 3D printed mold was created using processed medical images.
The mold, made from biocompatible material, was used to fabricate a PMMA bone cement implant. The solution enabled high precision and anatomical conformity.
