A 3D printed temporal bone model for surgical education was completed through a research project with ASA Hospital. The complex bone helps protect the brain and is important for functions such as hearing and balance.
The model gives surgeons in training a practical way to explore the temporal bone’s anatomy and develop skills before surgery. The project is signed by Adi Pandžić and Dr. Merim Jusufbegović in collaboration with ASA Hospital. Educational sessions using the model will be organized and led by Prof. Dr. Baumgartner.
